Every year more than 30% of land becomes unproductive, this is due to poor management that does not preserve, for example, soil micro-organisms, which are essential for keeping the soil alive and healthy.
Plastic is also a common problem, transplant pots and mulching sheets are just two of the products that are used every day in industrial and organic farming.
This leads to an erosion of the plastic and the scattering of particles which are drunk from the plant and distributed to the fruit.
